Today's idom is:

to show up

We can use "show up" instead of "to arrive" in everyday conversation.

Example 1.

A: What time do we have to show up for the meeting today?

(What time do we have to arrive for the meeting today?)

B: You should be here by 2 o'clock.

Example 2.

A: I hope you'll come to watch me play soccer today.

A: Don't worry. I'll show up before the game starts.

(Don't worry. I'll arrive before the game starts)
